Offered throughout the year: 20 hour Trauma Informed Yoga & Mindfulness Meditation

The goal of a trauma aware yoga practice is to feel empowered, build resiliency and establish greater self-regulation. Anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, relationship stress, and health issues are often the result of unresolved trauma. The series will cover:

  • Integration of choices
  • Empowered and inclusive language
  • Art of assisting and holding safe space
  • Invitation of postures
  • Breath and trauma
  • Sensitivity to Triggers (Trauma Informed Mindfulness)

Learn more about the Neuroscience behind Trauma and how Yoga can help. The topic is especially relevant in our current era of the COVID Pandemic, where everyone is experiencing some form of collective and individual traumas. You’ll learn various yogic methods that can be helpful for personal coping and supporting others.  Designed for both yoga teachers and those without teaching experience but want to further deepen their own practice and understanding.

Currently developing a Trauma Informed Yoga for Mental Health training for social workers, clinical providers and community members that will be launched in 2024! Stay tuned for more information.
