Internal Family Systems Therapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a client-centered, collaborative therapy that empowers you to become the expert in your own healing journey. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, or trauma, IFS offers a gentle yet transformative path toward healing. It is effective for individuals, couples, and families, addressing a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns.
Developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidence-based therapeutic model that views the mind as made up of different “parts” or subpersonalities, each with its own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. These parts often develop as a response to life experiences, particularly trauma, and can become stuck in patterns that negatively impact our mental health and well-being.
In IFS therapy, we identify and work with these parts to bring them into harmony. This process helps you reconnect with your core Self—the inner wisdom, compassion, and creativity that reside within you. By understanding and healing the parts that have been hurt, overwhelmed, or protective, IFS enables you to cultivate healthier, more balanced relationships with yourself and others.
If you’re ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and personal growth, IFS therapy could be the right path for you. Reach out today to learn more or schedule a free consultation to explore how IFS can support your healing process.
Somatic Yoga Therapy

“True beauty is a ray that springs from the sacred depths of the soul.” – Rumi
Somatic Yoga Therapy combines traditional yoga practices with somatic therapy principles, focusing on the mind-body connection and how unresolved emotions and trauma are stored in the body. Unlike typical yoga classes, Somatic Yoga Therapy is deeply individualized, encouraging you to slow down, tune into your body’s sensations, and explore the emotional and physical patterns that may be impacting your well-being.
This therapeutic approach integrates gentle yoga poses, breathing exercises, and body-awareness techniques to release tension, improve posture, and create a sense of grounding. Through this process, you can begin to access and release emotional blockages, restore energy flow, and cultivate a deeper sense of inner peace and clarity.
Yoga therapy is a holistic healing approach based on the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit. It aims to promote overall health by addressing physical, mental, and emotional concerns.
In yoga therapy, I work with you to create a personalized program tailored to your specific needs and goals. These programs typically include a combination of yoga postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation, relaxation techniques, and mindfulness practices.
The therapeutic benefits of yoga include enhanced self-awareness, reduced stress, improved flexibility, strength, and balance, as well as promoting relaxation and a sense of inner peace. Regular practice under the guidance of a qualified therapist can provide relief from chronic pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and other stress-related disorders.
Yoga therapy sessions can be one-on-one or in group settings. They often begin with an initial assessment to understand your needs and goals, followed by the development of a customized practice to address those concerns. Throughout the process, I provide guidance and support as you work towards healing.
Somatic Yoga Therapy offers a gentle yet powerful approach to healing, empowering you to take an active role in your well-being and fostering a deeper connection between the body, mind, and spirit.
By incorporating a body-centered approach, we process trauma in a way that goes beyond just talking. You’ll learn to be present with and explore the somatic sensations that arise, approaching them with curiosity and safety.
Yoga studies have shown significant reductions in PTSD, depression, and anxiety symptoms, in part by fostering body awareness and embracing the transitory nature of experiences. In our work together, we’ll focus on creating safety in your body, learning to regulate and tolerate sensations and emotions, and building resilience through these tools. I collaborate with you to ensure you can integrate these practices into your life outside of therapy, gaining more confidence and autonomy in your healing process.
These tools will help transform your life, healing both your body and mind holistically.

Ceremony and Circles

Ceremonies have been a sacred practice for thousands of years, offering a way to connect, transform, and heal both individuals and communities. Entering a ceremony is to step into a sacred space—a space that holds meaning, intention, and support. If you’ve never participated in a ceremony, it provides a safe and guided way to begin the experience. Ceremonies can be held individually or within a larger group setting, depending on your needs and intention.
Engaging in ceremony is healing on many levels. It nourishes our hearts, renews our spirits, relaxes our bodies, and quiets our minds. Participating in ceremony revitalizes our energy, helping us feel more centered and grounded in our personal truth as we move forward.
Ceremonies can range from grand celebrations marking life events, to rituals that honor times of transition, healing, or blessings for a space. Alternatively, we can create simpler, personal ceremonies—lighting a candle, for instance—focused on healing, release, or blessings.
Energy Healing
Reiki is an ancient form of energy healing that has been passed down through practitioners in various communities. Originating in Japan in the early 20th century, it works by channeling energy to promote healing and balance within the body.
The positive benefits of Reiki can significantly enhance overall well-being. A 2016 study found that Reiki was particularly helpful for women with cancer, improving sleep patterns, self-confidence, and reducing levels of depression. Participants reported experiencing a sense of calm, inner peace, and relaxation.
Reiki may also improve mood by alleviating anxiety and depression. A 2011 study showed that individuals who received Reiki sessions experienced greater mood improvements compared to those who did not. Participants who had six 30-minute sessions over two to eight weeks reported positive shifts in their emotional well-being.
